An early 19th century schoolhouse off the Delaware River found new life as a residence for two prominant New York art collectors and their extensive collection of contemporary art. To separate one of the former classrooms into two usable spaces, MMD designed a floating partition that doubles as an exhibition wall on one side, and a suite of shelves on the other. This solution allows for the rotation of of art, as well as a more intimate library room that can also function as a dining or study area.
